Sicily D&D Event

Get your bags and relax

We will pick you up at Catania Airport at 3pm and take a shuttle bus to Ortigia.  The one hour ride will pass by Mt. Etna and travel along the amazing coastline of Sicily.

We will get into our hotel and relax for a little bit before walking around the corner for aperitivo and antipasto while we get to know your fellow players.  We’ll have some fun tavern style games to play while getting to know each other and enjoying some fantastic Sicilian food and maybe take a stroll around the neighborhood before we have our full dinner.  Later we will have open gaming at the hotel. 

The Quest begins!

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a guided tour of the old city of Ortigia, the ancient part of Siracusa, home to Archimedes, the temple of Diana, the Fountain of Arethusa, and many other incredible sites.  This sets the scene for the start of our game day as we take you back to the mystical wild west of the Greek world, the very island of Sicily.  We’ll take a break for lunch, and then we start our adventure of all-day gaming.

We end our session for the day with a small respite before taking a late dinner in the typical Sicilian fashion.  You’ve got the rest of the evening open for exploring the city on your own or perhaps side quests and board games.

See the water and the market

After breakfast we’ll be taking a boat tour around the island and  we’ll take a trip through the street market and give everyone a chance to experience the vendors first hand before grabbing some lunch.  We’ll walk back to the hotel to start our next session.  We’ll break for the evening to have another amazing meal in a quaint restaurant.  You’ve got the rest of the night for open gaming and enjoying the city.

The theatre and temple

After breakfast we take a tour of the ancient part of “New” Siracusa. A quick taxi ride to the archaeological park to see the stunning Greek theatre, Roman arena, Greek temple, and the famous Ear of Dionysus.

We’ll come back to the old town for lunch and gaming the rest of the day until we break for dinner and open gaming at the hotel.

Final Quest

After breakfast at the hotel we go right to gaming for our final full day of adventure!  We’ll break for lunch, and then keep the dice rolling until our final feast. At our banquet we will sing songs, be entertained, and feast the night away during our final revels.

We will say our goodbyes and “arrividerci’s”, and there will be shuttles to get you to the Catania airport for your flight.  (Note: We will be about an hour away from the airport).
