Italy! Shakespeare! Two grand classics! Join us as we explore the settings of the bard’s Northern Italianate plays. See Juliet’s balcony in Verona; visit where revenge was incited in the Merchant of Venice and where Othello’s fate was sealed. Visit where Julius Caesar died and is now an enormous cat sanctuary. You’ll also discover the little-known secret of Sabbioneta, where A Midsummer Night’s Dream took place. Learn to cook Italian classics in Verona, and feast at a Renaissance banquet. Join us for 10 days of merriment, literary exploration, wonder, and the beauty of Italy.
Shakespeareans, Marlovians, and Oxfordians are all welcome.
