About the Retreat:
Join us along the eastern coast of Sicily in the mild weather and low crowds of March, for a delicious dive into ancient magic and practical witchery with esteemed authors and teachers, Lilith Dorsey and Laura Tempest Zakroff. This retreat offers the opportunity to train with two amazing authors and teachers, with lived experience spanning decades, cultures, and magical disciplines. Sacred Sicily offers comfortable accommodations, incredible excursions, spiritual community, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study magic in the home-on-earth of Persephone, Sicily.

- 20+ hours of in-person instruction and ritual with esteemed authors and mentors Lilith Dorsey and Laura Tempest Zakroff.
- Full-time assistance from our tour leaders.
- 6 nights accommodation in a double occupancy room, with single rooms available for an extra fee.
- All meals included, as well as table wine for dinner.
- Ground travel from Catania Airport and back.

Itinerary
March 1st: Monday
- Guests are picked up at Catania Airport in the early afternoon, then we shuttle to our historic hotel in stunning Ortigia.
- We gather for a relaxed Meet & Greet at our hotel, followed by an Opening Ritual with our teachers, Lilith & Tempest.
- After freshening up, we reconvene for our Welcome Dinner with local cuisine and live entertainment
March 2nd: Tuesday
- After a light Italian breakfast in our hotel, we come together for our first Sacred class with our teachers.
- Next, guests enjoy some free time to shop and explore Ortigia, followed by an amazing Italian lunch.
- Our dear friend and local guide Valeria takes us on a Walking Tour of Ortigia’s many ancient Sacred sites.
- Lilith and Tempest lead us in class and ritual before an outstanding dinner at a local eatery. Italians eat late! After we eat, our guides are available for the traditional Passagiata (evening walk) to take in more of the ancient city and possibly dessert or drinks.
March 3rd: Wednesday
- After another typical light Italian breakfast in our hotel, we come together for our morning Sacred class with our teachers.
- After class, guests enjoy some individual free time to explore the waterfront, followed by a group lunch.
- Our local multilingual guide leads us on a tour of nearby Siracusa’s many Sacred sites, including both Greek and Roman temples.
- Back at our hotel, Tempest and Lilith lead us in class and ritual before dinner. Since Italians eat late, our guides are available to take guests for the traditional Passagiata (evening walk) for drinks, dessert or sight-seeing.
March 4th: Thursday
- After a final breakfast in Ortigia, we check out of our hotel and say Arrivaderci to Ortigia, jumping into our private shuttle to Mount Etna‘s stunning Crater Silvestri.
- On the mountain, guests can enjoy a ritual with Lilith and Tempest before heading to a Winery on Mount Etna for lunch and a wine tasting.
- Next, we continue to the jewel of Sicily, Taormina, where we check into our charming hotel and stretch our legs exploring the idyllic town.
- We come together for a memorable dinner overlooking the sea, and then back to our hotel with an evening session with our teachers. There is the option of a late night walk to the piazza to see Mount Etna in the distance.
March 5th: Friday
- We awaken in Taormina, and after a light Italian breakfast in a nearby cafe, guests convene for another morning Sacred session with our teachers.
- A delicious lunch is followed by a tour of the historic Odeon and the absolutely incredible Anfiteatro with its view of the Mount Etna volcano, then free time to shop and explore Taormina.
- We come back to our hotel for dinner and an evening Sacred session with Tempest and Lilith.
March 6th: Saturday
- Another gorgeous morning begins in Taormina, and after breakfast in a nearby cafe, guests convene for our final morning Sacred session with our teachers.
- Lunch is followed by local sight-seeing and free time to shop and explore local museums and eateries.
- We come back to our hotel for the Closing Ritual with Lilith & Tempest, followed by our Final Dinner with live entertainment.
March 7th: Sunday
Guests rise early to say Ciao for Now, check out and shuttle to the Catania Airport.

Lilith Dorsey, M.A.
Lilith hails from many magickal traditions. Their traditional education focused on Plant Science, Anthropology, and Film at the URI, NYU, and University of London, and their magickal training includes initiations in Lucumi, Haitian Vodoun, and New Orleans Voodoo. Lilith Dorsey is also a Voodoo Priestess and has been doing magick since 1991 for patrons, filmmaker of the documentary Bodies of Water :Voodoo Identity and Tranceformation,’ and choreographer/performer for Dr. John’s “Night Tripper” Voodoo Show. They are proud to be a published Black author of Voodoo and Afro-Caribbean Paganism, Orishas, Goddesses and Voodoo Queens,Water Magic and the newly released Tarot Every Witch Way.

Laura Tempest Zakroff (she/they)
Laura is a professional artist, author, performer, and Modern Traditional Witch based in New England. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and her artwork has received awards and honors worldwide. Her work embodies myth and the esoteric through her drawings, paintings, and designs - as well as movement exploration and ecstatic rituals.. Laura is the author of several bestselling Llewellyn books including Weave the Liminal, Sigil Witchery, Visual Alchemy, and Anatomy of a Witch, as well as the artist and author of the Sigil Witchery Oracle, Anatomy of a Witch Oracle, The Liminal Spirits Oracle. Laura edited The New Aradia: A Witch’s Handbook to Magical Resistance, The Gorgon's Guide to Magical Resistance, and Serpents of Circe: A Manual to Magical Resilience from Revelore Press. Laura is the creative force behind several community events and teaches workshops online and worldwide.
